I live in a single family house. It is address 123. It has NEVER been a multi family house. When I bought the house, I saw the Verizon Fios box and contacted Verizon. They said that Fios was not available at 123... I said the box is in front of my face, got transferred around a bit and finally someone found an account at 123A, and asked if I lived in 123, 123A, or 123B. I told them there is no 123A or 123B, because it is a single family house and has been a single family house since 1910 when it was built...
My choices were to have someone come out in the next few weeks to check out the property to verify if 123 could be used or not, to turn 123A back on, or to have a new install for 123B. I chose to turn on 123A to make it easier, but the rep assured me the problem would be fixed.
It's been 3 years since I moved into 123. Somehow my address on Google maps shows that I am sometimes at 123 and sometimes at 123A, even though it doesn't exist. I contacted Verizon to remove the non-existent address and contacted Google to remove the 123A. It went away and comes back a couple months later...even though there has never been an A or B. I receive junk mail from Verizon, in triplicate, 2-3x a month. They won't fix it, don't know how to fix it, and now Google thinks I live at 123A again.
I have also received LOTS of mail still addressed to the family that moved away, and never seen anything come in as 123A or 123B, except for Verizon, so it's clearly only Verizon that has done this.
I want Verizon to simply change their system so that my service is at 123 and remove all other variations of the address, but customer care can't do it. Who can?
Thanks for reading.
