Service in Texas

I have an UNLIMITED data plan, yet because I’m in Texas, Verizon doesn’t reach everywhere in south Texas. The entire time I’ve been here my phone will lose service and randomly connect to Mexico’s cell towers and I get bumped down to 2GB of data! I’m not in Mexico! They have me turn off roaming so I don’t connect to those towers and then tags I have 0 service at all. I pay all this money every month and for what? To not have service? Im in the US, not Mexico, just because you can’t set up towers to reach parts of Texas is not MY issue.

We never want you to have problems with your service, and we'd like to take a look at what's going on. There's some troubleshooting we can try first just to make sure the phone is set up properly. Can you please click this link here: https://www.verizon.com/support/devices/#mobile Search your device and click on Troubleshoot. Once you do that, please search for the issue that most closely matches your symptoms. Let us know if you see any improvement.

If you're close to the Gulf of Mexico or the Rio Grande, I've read several posts from others saying Verizon and water don't get along...no idea why, but it's some quirk of the network and then the cellular service is poor to nonexistent. That could very well be why your phone connects to Mexican towers randomly.
