I have been a Verizon wireless customer for more than 20 years. I have been using a cell phone since 2018 and was encouraged to try out a new phone as an upgrade at a Verizon phone store. I used the phone for less than one week as it caused headaches and dizziness. The phone cost $1000. I would pay $300 as an upgrade. I walked out of the store with a bill of $177.22 which included State Taxes on the phone, a protective film, a plastic case, and an activation fee. Mind you, none of this was for the phone itself. I returned the phone in under a week with less than two hours use overall. Want to know how much I was refunded of the $177.22? $88.79. Verizon kept $88.43. And, I may owe even more on my next Verizon Bill as a Restocking Fee. We consumers shouldn't need to pay out the nose to try out a new phone to the tune of $100 a pop! In these days and times, who among us can afford that.....not me!
