Gift card promotion never received

Signed up for Verizon home internet services almost a year ago. Was under the impression after signing up I would receive either a Nintendo Switch, or a $250 Home Depot gift card. Never got the choice to pick either. Even contacted customer service, and still, nothing. Be Leary of these promotions.
