Home 5G for my phone only becomes unstable/drops with the verizon extender

The home 5g internet was working good. I needed an extender for the other side of the house. I got the extender from Verizon and set it up but then moved it until i found the perfect spot. I had my new iphone 16 with me as i set the extender up. I mention this because the other iphones and laptops etc. are not expeirencing my problem. Its almost like the gateway and extender are competing for my wifi service. The signal will drop or not connect unless i unplug the extender and log back in . This happens especially when I leave home and come back and the wifi signal starts and stops over and over. I have tried to reset gateway, extender, forget network on phone etc. Any help would be appreciated.

No help. Talked with a Verizon tech. Tried various things with no luck. Was told to contact Apple to see if its a Iphone problem. ?????

I have the same issue. It has to be a conflict with the Verizon Gateway and when you hook up the Verizon Extender. I have replaced 4 devices and right now I have disconnected the extender and I have no issues with my Iphone 16pro or non cellular iPad Pro. It appears that the Extender CE1000A is compatiable with the new Gateway NCM1100. I need a extender in my living room because I get buffering when streaming movies. They are sending a new extender I am hoping it is not the same model. I had no issues when I had the older cube gateway and the same extender CE1000A. This has to be either software or hardware issues between the 2 devices.

I thought the Verizon network extenders needed to be hooked up to a cable internet system before they would work. Verizon's 4G/5G Home Internet using the internet gateway is a "fixed wireless" system, and not compatible?

If your data speeds are lagging at times on the gateway, that's because the service is running off the cell phone towers and depending on network traffic, the speeds will fluctuate. I strongly suspect the internet gateway cubes are also deprioritized to cell phone traffic because there are customers who are paying more for a top-level mobile plan, so those customers will get dibs on the towers.
