travel to Dominican Republic

i will be traveling to the Dominican Republic and our resort has strong wifi. Can i set my Galaxy S24 to airplane mode and connect to their wifi? if so how do i do this. i am assuming by doing that then i would be able to use WhatsApp? that's all i really want to do.

You should be able to put your phone in airplane mode, then connect to WiFi. It's how in-flight WiFi works on airlines offering such service, and it's how people on the cruise were using the ship's WiFi service while at sea when I was vacationing recently. But check with the resort on whether they would charge you for the WiFi usage, because WiFi is not necessarily free outside the US.
