Hi. I am losing my mind talking to incompetent Verizon Fios customer service folks on the phone, so I am now going to post about it here in the hopes that there is one person who sees this and actually knows how to do their job at Verizon. I am moving into a new construction home next week. My husband and I have spent countless hours on the phone and on chat to get Fios set up at this new construction house. All houses around our house have Fios availability. The issue is that our house is NEW CONSTRUCTION and therefore it is NOT IN THE FIOS DATABASE, but there is no actual reason why we can’t get Fios service. I would like to transfer my current Fios service to the new address. Several customer service people have told us that they are “working on it” and it “should be no problem” and they have “submitted a ticket” and will “call us back within 3 days” and NONE OF THAT IS TRUE APPARENTLY. Without a concrete solution and concrete steps and deadlines from the Fios team, I am planning to end my Verizon service completely and look elsewhere for an ISP and cellular provider. This is frankly EMBARRASSINGLY RIDICULOUS. I would lose my job if I was this incompetent.
