I have been on the grandfathered unlimited data plan for 10 years, never removed it or changed it. Recently I found myself needing to add the mobile hotspot feature which isn't new to me. In the past I was able to add the 4G mobile hotspot for $50 which is unlimited as well. I didn't keep the hotspot feature and would just remove it afterward and get charged for whatever I used. Fast forward to a could of weeks ago, I added the same "4G mobile hotspot" thinking it's all going to work the same way as before, only to realized it it's not unlimited hotspot at 4G speed, but a 4GB data package with hotspot! (Since when does 4G == 4GB?! Is 5G == 5GB then?!) On top of that my grandfathered unlimited data plan was removed in the process which was not supposed to happen. I got a special feature document stating that the this "4G mobile hotspot" is optional and was added but says nothing about my grandfathered unlimited data plan being removed because of it and now I'm stuck with this stupid 4GB plan, running out of data because as it turns out, it's not optional! Verizon, stop lying and do better. this is not how to treat your loyal customer who's been with you for over 10 years!
