Verizon will not provide me with any version (physical, pdf) of bills older than 12 months UNLESS I pay an approximate fee of 4.50 / bill. Note: they agreed to waive the fee for the first 6 months of my relationship which is inclusive of home and internet. However, these bills can only be sent via USPS (no ability to track).
I am concerns around the inconsistency here. Why was I given a concession for retrieval and mailing of archived bills for the first six months only? In addition, I am part of a residential property which is provided internet free of charge. Verizon led me to establish services by stating that the services offered via the residential community (Value plus) were for community or common area use.
In summary, a lot of deception here coupled with a tendency to nickle and dime folks for what I would think is an easy ask. Furthermore, as a communications company, I am very confused as to why they cannot send securely documents electronically. It's 2025. How is it possible that the largest comms firm is unable to send documentation via email. Sorry to vent, but Verizon as a whole seems to be built on confusion. I am seeking suggestions for a more innovative provider (i.e. implements technology that has been deployed effectively within the past century) - one that operates ethically, and puts the client first. Alternatively, I would welcome a conversation with Verizon around this issue and the best way to resolve. Thanks #ethics #billingpractices #inconsistent
