If you ever speak with a representative in a Verizon store, and they tell you if you switch from an older plan to a newer plan because it will make you eligible for an early upgrade, don't believe them.
I have called multiple times, and been told by not only chat support, but over-the-phone reps, that my promotional period to upgrade early has passed, and I have essentially now paid too much on my phone to be eligible. I have never once been late, and paid off 58% of my device through my installment agreement, and yet I somehow can't upgrade.
This was the entire reason I switched from 5G Play More to the new Unlimited Ultimate MyPlan. In doing so, I have lost my free Hulu/Disney/NFL ($22 value) and my Google Play Plus ($6 value) subscriptions. Each time I call, they apologize and say they will fix this for me and they will update my account with discounts and/or change my account to become eligible to upgrade early at $0. All three times I called, I was told I would get a call back; all three times, nobody ever called. I am so sick of basically being forced to pay a company that owns a monopoly in an area, and then treated like such garbage.
So take it from a 7-year "loyal Verizon customer": take everything a Verizon Representative says with a grain of salt!
