Verizon wifi extender not connecting

Hello, Verizon just sent me a wifi exter and I can not get it to connect. I have Xfinity/Comcast internet with a Gateway modem. It gives code 5A. I have been on hold with Verizon twice for over 30 minutes to just be disconnected. Very frustrated as I have no idea what I am doing or how to fix it.

You should be able to log in to the admin page of the router the extender is connected to using a browser. You might have to look at the User Guide for the device to get the default login/password and the guide should tell you where to go in Settings. Maybe Advanced Settings. What make/model is the router?

What make/model device is it? Is it a WiFi Extender or a 4G LTE Network Extender? Sounds like you do not have Fios from Verizon, but Xfinity Internet. For a 5A error on the Network Extender you might try setting IPv4->IPv4/v6 in your router settings.
