Verizon I s the worst experience I've ever had with a mobile company. They billed me for months I didnt even have service. A whole month for 1 day ,and then added the present month for the first bill. I ended up paying 224 for my first bill. Worst experience Ever!!!!!

Ouch. This must be an industry practice, where you must pay for an entire month of service for "month 1" on a postpaid line when you first sign up. It happened to me elsewhere too, and I only had service for 4 days total with them. But because I started at the end of a month and ported out 2 days into the next month, they billed me for one month and 2 days of service!

There are other fees carriers assess when you join up, such as line activation fees, data transferring fees (if you have store employees move data from one device to another), and potential 3rd party store fees if you went to an independently run store location which isn't a corporate store.
