I need help to close my elderly father's Verizon account. He does not have the information needed to close it the regular way. We have made several phone calls for help. One of the Verizon assistants told me that he had cancelled it only to discover that he really had not. Then we were told that we had to go to the nearest Verizon Headquarters in person with his ID and they would be able to do it. This also turned out NOT to be true. My father lives in a rural part of the Texas panhandle and his health is not good enough now to make another 2-hour trip to only end up being on a goose chase. I have power of attorney for my father. We would truly appreciate some REAL help.
