I called about my bill due to being charged an activation fee, after paying a "Set Up & Go Service".
Billing Agent first told me that the Set Up & Go Service (SU&GS) was the "taxes" on the device, which meant the taxes were 23%. Although, when you do the math, the taxes I paid were on $130 (device) + $29.99 (on SU&GS). Once this was pointed out to him. The agent then said that the SU&GS fee was a charge by the government for the device to be registered. I will have to contact the FCC to figure out if this is true. I had Verizon Wireless a long time ago, and just now decided to try their services again. However, it doesn't seem that the billing is correct. At first, my bill was dated Feb 3rd to March 2nd. I bought the device on March 3rd. after talking to the billing agent, it now says first bill.
Can someone be honest with me, since it was my understanding that the SU&GS fee was the activation fee?
Sincerely,
Joe S.
