How do you erase or chsnge your pword temporarily to connect a Mac2007, with no software OS to the internet to download a replacement MacOS Software?
I'm very familiar with the need to download macOS replacement software, and with older Macs, too. I think I can help steer you to the right solution.
Your 5G Home Internet default password is located on the label on the back (or bottom depending on the model) of your gateway. If you are having trouble finding it, we can help! Just let us know which model gateway you are using.

Hi Meg,
For you and others that may be asked questions about old Macs, please know that Macs have built-in Wi-Fi support even when there is no operating system installed. They've had a "Recovery Mode" feature for a couple of decades now. On many models, it can be used to re-download the macOS from Apple and reinstall onto the Mac. However, this only works with remotely current models of Mac computers.
In summary, it's not about having the WPA/WPA2/WPA3 password. A Mac that old doesn't support any Wi-Fi encryption methods that a Verizon 5G router supports. It could probably connect to the Wi-Fi network if it were configured to be open (no encryption method, no password), but it would still fail when it connects to Apple as their Internet Recovery doesn't work on models they have deemed antiquated.
