A Verizon technician left a utility post in the corner of my yard open and then ran a black cable all the way in front of my driveway, along my yard and down my neighbor’s side yard. They never consulted us even though we were home at the time. The cable is very dangerous since it’s black and hard to see. We have a lawn crew coming to cut the grass weekly and we cannot be liable if it is accidentally cut. It also poses a tripping hazard for us, our daughter or any visitors we have. The worst part is that they didn’t even close the utility box which is extremely dangerous. If I hadn’t caught it before my daughter went over there she could have touched the circuits. It's been almost a month and no one has come to address this hazard. Are they intending to dig up my yard and driveway to bury this cable? Who is liable if someone gets hurt because of the exposed wire?
