I just got this phone and trying to log into my apps requires SMS 2FA. The codes aren't coming through. I can call and recieve calls, and I can text and recieve texts, but any verification codes i need for 2FA aren't coming through.
If a block for "Premium Text Messagging" or Shortcode SMS is enabled on your account, this can stop SMS 2FA from coming in. Many sites and services utilize shortcode numbers for this.
Are you simply upgrading phones, or are you a new customer to Verizon? If you are a new customer and ported in a number, check to see if your old carrier is still receiving the shortcode messages. As long as your port is completed, the codes should start to come through within a few hours. It can take time for SMS Gateway providers to get the message that your number is on a different carrier.

Is it an iPhone? If so, check your settings and make sure SMS is enabled, otherwise no short code texts will arrive.
