Configuring static route on CR1000A

Is anyone able to successfully create a static route on a CR1000A? (I'm on firmware 3.6.0.2_BD).

CR1000A > Advanced > Network Settings > Routing > New Route

I add the route, and the "Status" column shows a red "Failed".

I looked in the logs, but didn't see anything relevant.

Static routing was recently fixed for non-sticking entries. This is likely unrelated, however.

Could you let me know whether the gateway 172.16.40.5 is in the same subnet as the CR1000A's LAN?

Yes. It’s in the same subset as the CR1000A’s LAN. The subnet is a /24.

Note: In troubleshooting, I changed some IP addresses around from my original post. (Unfortunately, this did not help.) The three screenshots in this post are where the configuration currently sits.

Any updates for this? I am having the exact same issue, my defined gateway is on the CR1000A local LAN and pingable from the Diagnostic window.

Same here. A static route for 192.168.10.0/24 with destination 192.168.1.10 which is in my home network subnet 192.168.1.0/24 fails. It shows the same Failed message on the route table entry

I'm also having the same issue. It worked with my old router which I assume was on an older firmware

This is actually reproducible this time. I already contacted engineering.
Older entries rolled from the older firmware version can still be deleted and added, but not any new subnets.

The web GUI is not invoking the iproute2 to add the routes.

How long does engineering normally take to fix these kinds of issues if you don’t mind me asking?
