No international data in Aruba.

I am in Aruba and have no data at all with my unlimited plan.
i have full bars, so I am connected with Setar here but have nothing

i got text from Verizon welcoming me to Aruba and the access I should have

I was here in Nov snd it worked perfectly.

Roaming settings are right. I have turned my phone off and on. Went to airplane mode and back and same.

Appreciate any help I can get.

Are you a prepaid customer? If so, you need to load funds into your account before Travel Pass works (and Travel Pass has to be enabled).

If that's not it, the only thing I can think of is either Verizon lost their agreement with Setar, if that's the network your phone is currently connected to, and therefore won't work with a Verizon number, or else the signal you're getting is something other than 4G. While the international map says most of Aruba is 4G LTE, there's no telling what the service really is. Maybe they're still going on 3G a good part of the time. If you can manually change the band on your phone, see if you can enable 3G or LTE only. Also, part of Aruba shows up as 2G only and your phone likely won't work at all there.

I was just in Aruba over the 4th of July and ran into the issue where neither DIGICELL or SETAR providers allowed a data connection for longer than 15 seconds or so. This is on an iPhone Pro Max 16 with the Unlimited Ultimate Plan. I have travelled around Europe with this device and plan and had zero issues so there is some sort of problem with the agreement/implementation between Verizon and the local carriers. I tried all the options on the device like forcing a specific carrier, forcing LTE, etc but the result was always the same. After searching I ran across similar complaints about people travelling to Aruba with Verizon.

I sent a support request to Verizon and all I have gotten is the same "we are here to help what is your name and phone number" message from 5 different agents via text that all then flag the request as "needs more information" to which I respond what do they need and the process starts over. I have since left Aruba with no help or resolution so be careful if you are counting on using data while there. Luckily the resort I was at had excellent Wi-Fi coverage and we stayed on property, but if you plan on needing to call cabs and do things around the island I'd be wary.
