I have a LTE Network Extender which I would like to make closed. To do so I need to create a contact list, on the verizon.com device management page. However, I get this error:
Even though the number added is on the account.
The 'Managed Access' Feature has been non-functional for a while now.
As a workaround, you can lower the "Transmit Power" of the signal coming from the extender.
Resolution Update: By partnering with support, we confirmed the details of Access for the LTE Network Extender. An excellent guide to common Network Extender questions, is this FAQ: https://www.verizon.com/support/4g-lte-network-extender-faqs/
If you need any help, please contact us for support. -John
I saw that recommendation in the similar posts on the board, I would like to have the full transmit power available to cover my garage, yard, etc.
I saw that in other posts Verizon corporate sometimes contacts people to help set up the list.
Another forum member (not the one who responded earlier) who has used several extenders over the years has said the "closed access" thing hasn't been working for at least 2 years as of this post. Since nobody knows when or if it'll be fixed, you'll either have to decide between having a limited range on the extender, or potentially allowing neighbors/people on the street or sidewalk having access to your service.
