How to upgrade Iphone and keep Legacy plan?

I currently have 3 devices on a 55+ Loyalty Plan that I have had for more than a decade. I'm paying a total of $123. for the plan and would like a new phone. But all the upgrade paths require I change to a much more expensive Unlimited plan. When I walk through the Wizard all the other options to get a new phone are grayed out. I'm being steered toward a new plan as the only option.

What do I need to do to upgrade the phone and keep my legacy plan? I don't want to use any promotion or offer, just a new phone?

Hi, with the current forum upgrades, the CSRs do not appear to be able to use the forums as of now. Something to do with the private messaging platform still being worked on - they typically contact customers via PM because they have to access your account. Anyway, I have not ever seen a way for people on a legacy plan to be able to get promotions as those only apply to currently available plans.

However, I have read of legacy plans eventually costing as much or nearly as much as current plans if you keep them long enough. The autopay discount is also reduced for older plans. So if it's not that much a pricing difference to upgrade your service plan, something to consider. Or you could try buying a new phone directly from the manufacturer. I've seen offers at the large manufacturers' sites too, or possibly get some kind of financing arrangement through them for a new phone?
