cancel apple smart watch after discontinued phone plan

I have discontinued my phones and changed carriers. However did not transfer my apple watch. I don't use it. I have tried to disconnect online to turn off the service. I am unable to do it online. Is there another way without calling in? Chat box says it won't connect because we no longer have service
