Samsung's SM-G981V, which is the Samsung Galaxy S20 5g phone and the other phones in this series (S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra) has officially ended software support as of April 2025, according to Yahoo Tech and 9to5Google. This means no more Android version updates or security patches will be released for these models. Samsung had initially promised four years of software support, but extended it to five years, with the last update being the March 2025 security patch. The Galaxy S20 FE, however, is still receiving quarterly security updates for a little while longer. -Ross

Samsung has ended software support for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. The final security update for these models was the March 2025 patch. While the S20 FE might receive a couple more updates, it also follows the same four-year support cycle as the rest of the S20 series.
