I moved 4 numbers on a family plan from another provider and purchased four new phones. The phones were picked up from a local store the day of the order. So far so good. I was told by the sale's who helped me with the phone order and the sales person at the local store where I picked up the new phones that our current phones would continue to work until the new phones were turned on and activated. I made it clear this was important to me because two of the phones were for out of town family members who would not receive their new phones for a few days. The moment I signed for the new phones in the store, all four exiting phones on the old provider were turned off leaving two users without phones. I have spent several hours on support calls trying to get them to at least activate the new Version service on the old phones until they receive the new phones, but no one can help me. One user will wait be without servcie for four days until they receive their new phone. I have spent hours on the phone and two representatives promised to call me back, but so far, no return calls. I am a huge fan of Verizon's cell coverage, but my experience with customer support is terrible. Does anyone have some suggestions on getting to a higher tier of support that might be able to help me? Thanks!
