Missing calls and texts from wife's call and msg log.

My wife and I share an account.I have noticed some call and data logs aren't available for view via the online portal. Why is that? On an unrelated topic, why are only some of the texts sent and received from her phone and number not showing up on the usage logs? Is this indicative of a third-party messaging app? We use Google Messages as Samsung has discontinued use of Samsung's SMS/MMS app.

If your latest call/data logs say nothing is available, that's a glitch which happens every so often. It happened with my account a few months ago where my data logs said there wasn't anything available even though it was otherwise obvious that I was using data. The problem resolved itself in a couple months.

As for some texts not appearing in the texting logs, that's because Google Messages uses RCS format by default unless you manually turn off RCS. RCS texts are encrypted and considered data usage, not texting usage, so will go into the data logs. Depending on what app others are using for texting and whether or not their device supports RCS, if they are using newer format for texts, those will be in the data logs. If they have an older device or otherwise using the older SMS/MMS technology for texting, then the older format texts will be in the texting logs.
