I just changed my plan to have unlimited data in Europe and i have 0 service in Copenhagen, restarted my phone, checked other networks and absolutely nothing. Its so annoying since this is a big city. Verizon really has been horrible service.
Hi, international service is not unlimited data. The monthly International Service Plan offers 20 gigs of high-speed data and then you're throttled at 3G speeds for the rest of the month, which is unusable for modern apps. If you are using the daily Travel Pass or the built in Travel Pass service from the Unlimited Ultimate service plan, there is a 5 gig daily limit on high-speed data before it goes to 3G. Note that RCS texting or other forms of encrypted texting is considered data use, not texting usage, so can rapidly burn up your data. SMS texting is unlimited.
If all else fails, find a landline and call International Services Support at the toll free number for Denmark:

We are here to support you. Sending you a Private Message now.

Interested to know if you got any resolution to this.
I also had no Internet access in Copenhagen on Aug 28. I was on unlimited ultimate and international coverage worked fine in other European cities before and after.
I have had the most horrendous support experience with Verizon since then trying to troubleshoot the issue. When I tried to call VZ support, the automated IVR told me the only way to get support was to use the Verizon Mobile app, which is obviously not very helpful if I have no Internet access. Since then I have chatted with 15 different agents over 10 days. Each chat was abruptly terminated by Verizon, forcing me to start the process over with a new agent asking how they could help me. I can't understand how a company with such poor customer service can stay in business.
Now I'm being told "oh, there was a network issue then that is resolved now ". I didn't see any communication from Verizon about this.
Did you try switching to a different available network while in Copenhagen? If none of the available networks would allow you to connect to the internet, then my guess would be whatever interconnection agreement Verizon had with whatever provider in Denmark expired and both parties have to negotiate a new deal.
There was a network issue with Verizon a few days ago, but that shouldn't have affected your service overseas, because your device isn't using Verizon while outside of the US. As an FYI, International Services Support can be reached via a number of toll free numbers depending on what country you're in, but you must use a landline to call them:
https://www.verizon.com/support/pdf/BPOD-I2400-Toll-Free-Numbers-V5.pdf
If there isn't a toll free number available, you can call 1-908-559-4899 (will be billed as international call on a landline, but if you're using your cell phone and have an international service plan enabled, calls back to the US are covered and won't incur extra charges).
