Can Verizon PLEASE stop installing games on my devices when a security update has to be installed? These games are the complete opposite of "security". Are the fee dollars you make from this worth upsetting your paying customers?
You have to disable the Verizon App Manager every time you get a software update, otherwise it will automatically download 3rd party content such as games. All carrier phones are an "ads" version and for Verizon, it comes in the form of games or 3rd party apps (someone reported Temu got installed on their phone last year back when Temu was still a thing).
The only way to avoid this problem completely is to buy factory unlocked phones directly from the manufacturer. It cuts both ways because then no carrier apps except for the "My [carrier]" one will work, and you can't get any support for an unlocked device if it acts up.
