A few days, ago verizon tech was working at the corner of our property on the phone utility box, I didn't think any of it, I know my neighbor is having some utilities put in. We have underground utility cables. Today as I was mowing my lawn I almost ran over the 75 foot or so of exposed cable sitting on the ground. I understand how the easements work and understand they have access for this stuff, i also under this is most likely temporary. But how can this be the type of work done from a safety and professional standpoint without even giving notice that there is exposed cable on the ground. I have a toddler who plays in the yard riding bikes and electric go karts, if I barely noticed it, what's the odds my toddler would have. If I didn't see it and ran it over with my lawn mower, who would be held liable if I pulled the cable from my neighbors house and caused damage my lawn mower?
