On July 7th, I inquired with Verizon about lowering my bill. I discussed with the agent that I had a few devices that still had promotions on them and were still being paid for. The agent did a great job getting our price down. Apparently too great. He quoted me a final monthly price that didn’t include the phones and this after asking several times if this was the final price.
A month later I got emails from Verizon saying that our promotional pricing would go away for the phones unless we upgraded our plans. ?????
I called Verizon and reached an agent who clearly knew they had screwed up but wasn’t authorized to say that. Instead she kicked me to her supervisor after about 30 minutes of “looking into it”.
The supervisor wouldn’t budge. Also claimed there was no level above her to talk with. So, now, my phone bill has gone back up by ~$60 because of their mistake. They said they would send that agent through training to rectify the situation. This was super relieving to me (sarcasm).
This is unsatisfactory and I’ll be leaving this company as soon as the phones are paid off. I wouldn’t have minded to pay the price if quoted to me originally, but when you say something, your company should back it up. It’s not hard. This must mean they make so many mistakes that they really don’t care about losing customers.
