Carrier Unlocking

I have a Galaxy X-Cover Pro. I have verified with tech support that it has no financial locks/holds and is not associated with an account in bad standing and is not blacklisted (not reported lost or stolen) and they have stated that it should be sim/carrier unlocked.

My problem is that it is still very much locked to verizon. I put in a different sim card and it says sorry you can't use a different carrier network on this device right now and the scrolling banner says network locked.

Tech support has been zero help other than verifying it indeed should be unlocked and have offered me no resolution.

The device has met all unlocking requirements and is required by FCC to be unlocked so what do I have to do to get this phone unlocked from Verizon?

Can you please provide a few more details about this phone? Where did you purchase this device from originally?

I'm quite familiar with the Verizon unlocking policy. What does that matter? If it was purchased from Verizon it's eligible for unlocking 60 days from date of purchase and if purchased from 3rd party retailer it's eligible 60 days from activation. It was purchased and activated over 2.5 years ago so it is definitely eligible for unlocking. It is also clean. I paid for a pre purchase IMEI check which verified it is not blacklisted and has no financial holds on it. There is absolutely no reason Verizon should not unlock this phone.

PS if your next question is do I have a Verizon account that doesn't matter either. As part of the FCC agreement unlocking is required to be performed even for non-customers and non- previous customers.

Subject: Device Unlock Request – Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra – Ongoing 4-Month Issue

Dear Verizon Executive Relations,

I am writing to escalate an unresolved issue concerning the unlocking of my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (IMEI: [insert IMEI here]) that has been ongoing for the past 4 months.

Summary of the Issue:

I purchased a used Galaxy S20 Ultra that was last active on Verizon in 2020.

I’ve confirmed that the phone is clean, paid off, and eligible for unlocking based on Verizon’s policy.

Despite this, the device has not been unlocked, and I have spent over 40 hours on the phone with various Verizon departments, including Tech Support, Fraud, and several escalated teams.

I’ve been incorrectly told by representatives that:

Verizon needs to contact the former business account holder (which is not Verizon's policy).

The Fraud department needs to initiate the unlock, which they do not handle.

On multiple occasions, Verizon support has acknowledged that the phone should have been unlocked automatically after 60 days, but for reasons unknown, it has not been processed.

What I’ve Already Done:

Verified with multiple departments that the phone is eligible and clean.

Attempted several manual unlock requests with no success.

Spent 40+ hours trying to resolve this issue.

Request for Resolution:

I am requesting that Verizon immediately push the unlock to my device or provide the MSL unlock code to allow me to unlock the phone manually.

This ongoing issue has caused significant frustration and is affecting my ability to use the phone on my carrier of choice, especially since the phone meets all requirements under Verizon’s unlocking policy.

Please let me know what additional information you need from me to resolve this quickly.
