I am trying to block a number on the Verizon website in the Account > My plan > Blocks section. When I try to block the number (or any other number I tried), I get the error message, "We are unable to block xxx-xxx-xxxx on this device(s):" I called customer service a month or so ago and they reached out to the Verizon IT department that ultimately said this feature has been disabled. Is this true? If so, why is it still an option on the website?
I desperately need to block this number since they call me multiple times a day and leave nonsense voicemails that fill up my inbox and then important calls are unable to leave me messages. (Unfortunately this issue will not go away.) I previously was able to block this number, but it only lasts for 90 days and now will not let me do it again. I looked at other Verizon community threads and the Verizon response was to message directly without providing information on how to resolve the issue.
Can someone please help?
