February of this year I went to a Verizon store to trade in my phone and obtain a new one I was also going to unlock an Apple iPhone that I had just bought a few months earlier and continue the same plan for 2 lines.
The Store representative told me that if I traded in both devices and changed to this other plan my current bill of 125 dollars a month would only go up by 1 dollar and I would have a newer iPhone. I asked him multiple times I did not want to increase my bill I just wanted to continue with what I had, he assured me my with auto sign up for billing my account would only be charged a 126 dollars a month. I asked for a written estimate he told me he was not allowed to give me one. I should have turned around and walked out the door at this point in time but I figured it was a Verizon store not a fly by night business operation
I was in the store for 5 + hours that day trying to get a new phone because the employee did not know how to transfer the information from my phone to the new phone. I had to go to another Verizon store the following day ( 30 mins away) and have them transfer it and then be told I was going be charged for it that's still not the worst of this.
Employee at the 2nd Verizon store told me I then had to go back to the 1st store and turn my phones in since that was the place that the contract was signed. I did as instructed wasting time and gas to drive 30 mins again to turn in the phones. Another agent accepted the phones but never documented the devices as being turned in.
When I went back to Victra, about the billing, an other representative in the Verizon store told me that the original employee had been fired and she did not have the authority to do anything further and her manager of the store would be contacting me this never happened.
The store I went to was
Victra
Ellwood City Pa16117
Long story short I have gone back to the store, manager was never available.
I have called Verizon multiple times my bill is still $200 dollars a month.
I was never credited initially for the phones that were turned in I think that finally got straightened out took 6 months I now have 25 plus hours into this fiasco. Putting me through this huge time waste is bad enough but after making multiple phone calls and spending countless hours I still have no resolution. I have been charged 200 dollars per month since this took effect after multiple conversations with multiple people telling the same story over and over again, being apologized to multiple times over and over and assuring me it's going to be fixed over and over again my bill was still at 200 dollars. . I feel as if Verizon tries to wear people down and then they will just give up.
I called Verizon again yesterday to have the same discussion over and over again for the past several months .I was on the phone with a representative for an for an hour and 20 minutes. At the end of the conversation the representative told me my bill was going to be a 126 dollars a month and he was going to transfer me to his supervisor for confirmation . During that time we were disconnected and when I called back I was told the billing office was closed.
When I called Verizon yet again today I am getting the same runaround I talked to a supervisor who told me I was given "misinformation" and he was "educating" me on the situation . It was very patronizing and did not appreciate his comments . The best he could do "due to policy "was $156/month if I gave them my banking info. I'm sure you can understand my hesitancy to even do that at this juncture.
I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me that that was not an option . I'm quite certain he doesn't own the company and answers to a higher up in the food chain .
After this supervisor "educated me" we somehow mysteriously got disconnected when I asked to speak with his supervisor
He did not bother to call me back despite having my phone number.
I own my own small business I understand it's not that mistakes are made it's how you resolve them that sets you apart as a business. I have been very disappointed in Verizon.
Bottom line I have been lied to twice by Verizon and told my bill was going be a 126 dollars per month, both In Feb. and then again yesterday- this has yet to transpire .
The employee that started this all back in February has since been fired . If he did something illegal or unethical I entered a contract under false pretenses. I was either blatantly lied to or he was confused neither of which is my fault . This is on Verizon to correct the issue.
