I received a phone as a gift and have been trying to contact Verizon customer service for a week, unable to reach anybody. When The Verizon SIM card that came with the phone is in, it says I need to set up my account. I am not a Verizon customer, however. When I use my old SIM card (Boost), which is what I want to use, it tells me the network is locked and to contact customer service. Any time I call, I get placed on multiple hours of hold and nobody answers. I try the chat, but it won't let me proceed because I do not have a number connected to Verizon. I went to a Verizon store and they told me customer support will be able to unlock it with ease, but I cannot reach customer service. Posting here in hopes it gets seen. This has been going for a week now and it is making it difficult to schedule work and reach my loved ones.
