Howdy, y'all. Purchased Total Verizon 5G kit at Target to use primarily as a backup 5G hotspot for biz travel. I completed the usual drill (MicroSD card, update to Android 14, security patches, apps, accounts, etc.) only to discover the Mot XT2413V is 4G LTE, not 5G. So I phoned Customer Support and advised that the box sez "Verizon 5G" but the supplied phone isn't 5G. I asked for a replacement 5G phone (say, iPhone 13). After l-o-n-g conversations included the usual internal transfers, dropped calls, etc., I was told that I could only have a 5G phone by choosing a 5G plan and porting a number.
To print "Verizon 5G" on the box but not provide a 5G phone is misleading. Especially annoying because I'm a Verizon (VZ) shareholder. My experience is unsatisfactory. How do I get satisfaction in this case? I've already made several monthly payments.
