I ordered a certified pre owned phone 1 week ago. When I received the phone and went to activate it the phone says it's carrier locked and I need to contact customer service. When I reboot the phone it comes up as a spectrum device. After customer service and in store visits I was told I would have to exchange the phone. Then they tell me that they can't exchange it bc the phone has never been activated so I would need to return it first wait for them to process the return and then reorder a new phone. Then when I ask them to email me the return label they inform me that they can only send it through the mail meaning I have to wait another 3/4 days for the return label to even get here. This whole process has been a joke, when I order a certified pre owned device I expect it to be ready to go and not locked to a different carrier. Not to mention the hoops I've had to jump through to get an exchange only to finally be told that my only option is to return and reorder. I purchased this phone 7 days ago and still don't have a working phone or a return label. Why would verizon send me a phone that can't even be activated? And why do I have to deal with the inconvenience when it was a mistake on their part. I feel like the activation fee for the next phone I order needs to be waived or something to make up for this headache. Absolutely ridiculous.
