After being with Verizon for over 7 years with several family members under one account the having to start new account because several of those family members switched to ATT to receive better service all the way around. It has been nothing but broken promises from Verizon and hours of my time each month due to mistakes made by Verizon on my billing and perks. I moved 3 family members over to Verizon from Cricket to lower my bill. Only to find out the hidden activation fees and extra charges and before I switched them Verizon said they could all get new phones, that never happened because Verizon said my bill had been past due one time which was also caused by Verizon because of incorrect bill. So now I have 5 lines with Verizon and was sent a notification that one Google pixel was eligible for (FREE UPGRADE) so I wanted to get the zflip7 and that phone is $1200 but going through the whole steps of the (ELIGIBLE FREE UPGRADE) they were giving me $854.00 trade in value on the Google pixel which left a $350 dollar balance to be taken at $22.00 dollars for 36 months. I was okay with that so I agreed and it said $854.00 (APPLIED) towards new phone. Leaving the $350 dollar balance then at the very end of check out a $40 activation fee was added (RIP OFF) Why would they charge you $40 for a activation fee for a line that is already in service. But here's where it really got bad to finish the check out it said I had to pay over$1000 right then I argued for at least 30 mins stating that it says upgrade free, $854 applied from trade in and activation fee was waved which left me paying $11.66 a month for the phone around $300 dollars so why if allow this in the finished completed invoice said with credits applied, fees waived are they telling me to pay over $1000 dollars. Verizon response it was because even though the upgrade was free and was eligible because of my credit which was based on a one time late payment that was their mistake my credit limit was only $300 dollars and would take up to 6 months to review. Yesterday I went to a Chevrolet dealership and bought my daughter who is about to go to college a $45.000 vehicle with zero money down with my credit it took about 15 minutes for the whole deal to be completed and because of my credit was allowed to drive off before all the documents were completed. Credit score of almost 800 and I can't get more than a $300 credit limit from Verizon.
I told them I have no idea how they came up with this but however they did have made a huge mistake that was very demeaning and embarrassing to me as a person. They said oh well their hands were tied. So I'm on my way to check with T-MOBILE and I bet I walk out of T-MOBILE with 5 new phone's better service for zero money down.
Verizon thinks it's okay to treat people this way because they used to be on top. Well wake up Verizon your not on top anymore and your customer service is at the bottom you are dishonest, deceptive and higher in price than the others .
I know my business and me switching won't bankrupt you but I will have some impact by sharing what you did to me on every social media platform that is available and doing daily so it doesn't just go away and I bet it will cost you more than $300 dollars
