I am a long time Verizon subscriber (20+ years). I am a military retiree (24 yrs) and my wife and I are senior citizens on fixed income (over 80). Verizon gives me a $5 per line (2) military discount. Verizon keeps increasing the plan rate adjustment to the point that it's as much as the plan rate. I did not plan on the constant rate adjustments when I started the plan. I have a legacy plan (mini) with 1GB data. With the recent increases, my monthly bill is about $104. That being said, I am searching for a minimum cost plan that gives me up to 5GB of data (unlimited?). I don't use a lot but the grand daughters are on dance teams so there are lots of pictures and videos now.

Hi, if you are paying that much for 2 lines having only 1 gig of data, that's quite a lot. The current postpaid service plans are all unlimited data, and the pricing for 2 lines of Unlimited Welcome is $55/line plus taxes and fees when I checked the website just now, which isn't all that much more than what you're currently paying.

But if you aren't a heavy data user and have been able to get by on just 1 gig of data each month, I would suggest switching your lines to prepaid service. There's a 15 gig prepaid plan which is $35/line plus taxes and fees, and 2 different unlimited plans which you get a multi-line discount ($40/month for 2 lines on prepaid unlimited, $50/month for 2 lines on prepaid unlimited with 5G UW access). The only downside to prepaid is you will be deprioritized to all postpaid customers on the towers, so your phone will usually not be connected to the closest tower, but on the 2nd or 3rd closest tower in my own experience.
