How to close mobile phone account from overseas

Hello,

I moved from the US to Italy last week and did not manage to close my mobile phone account (2 lines, prepaid) before the departure. I was trying to call the toll free number but not okay and I could not sign in the chat either as I do not receive the verification sms. Grateful to have your advice how to close the account as I will not be able to come back to the US in a foreseeable future.

Are you able to login to My Verizon at all? I've heard this can't be done while outside the US, but maybe if you try using a VPN? Prepaid lines automatically expire after a month, unless you have autopay set up, in which case it will automatically renew for another month. If you shut off the autopay, then the lines will cancel after the current cycle ends.

The prepaid account will disconnect at the end of the billing cycle if the payment is not submitted for the next billing cycle. If you already paid for the next billing cycle, you will need to contact Global Support at 800-711-8300 or 908-559-4899 (from a landline). They will be able to assist you with closing your account.
