The only reason I'm retyping this is because of how angry I still am. The fact that your website lets people type replies and THEN makes them login only to have their typed reply disappear...UGH.
Anyway, my issue is not outage related, but my frustrations with Verizon are growing. All I wanted to do was go into a Verizon store and upgrade my phone that has been on a family plan for 20 years. Only to find out that I am not allowed because I am not an Account Manager or Owner. Why can we not just pull up our plans in the app and show ID to prove we are the person on the plan? Why do I need to bring another person with me just to upgrade a phone?? Ridiculous.
But then it got worse. I spent most of the rest of the day trying to set up an in-store pickup order for the new phone, having to have the order sent to the account owner for approval (my father, who was on vacation and I was trying not to bother with this). Only to find out that it was made a delivery order instead. So I then spent TWO HOURS on the phone with their customer service and an awkward 3-way call with another person to act as my account manager. She told me the original order had been canceled, a new in-store pickup order had been made, and the customer making the order (me) could pickup the phone. Verified...multiple times. Only to get the verification that only managers or owners can pickup orders...SO I STILL CAN'T PICKUP MY OWN PHONE?!? Spent the morning getting myself added as a manager so I can pickup my own phone...only to see that the delivery order is still active, as well as the in-store pickup. Spend ANOTHER HOUR trying to cancel the delivery order that should have already been canceled, but it can't be canceled because it's already been shipped.
This experience just to upgrade my own phone that has been on this plan for decades has been abysmal.
