I recently changed mobil service to another carrier. Since that time, Verizon continues to deduct monthly charges from my bank account. Because my phone number is no longer connected with Verizon I am not able to get into my account to verify the charges. I have no problem paying a bill that I owe, however I do not have a bill and cannot access the Verizon system to check on it. I called Verizon credit card company (that is how my bill is paid) to ask if they could provide me with information or even a date for the charges. I was told they did not have the information , but would do a conference call to Verizon on my behalf. Unfortunately, that was a dead end sine I did not have the 4 digit pin that is issued when you obtain Verizon services. Now, I had Verizon services for years and never used the pin number and did not have it in my files. My next step was to visit a Verizon Corporate store and ask them to print me a copy of the all monies owed to Verizon. they were able to use my social security number to access the account and printed me a bill in the amount of $170.74. They said that was all that was owed to Verizon. I wish I could say it was all resolved at that point, but I kept getting bills for monthly charges. To make this long story short it took weeks and 4 trips (to 2 different locations) to have an employee tell me the bill for $170.74 was the buyout for my phone and the charges were a month behind in billing and therefore I still owed that charges. I paid the bill for $170.74 in the store and the monthly amount is still being deducted from my Verizon credit card and Im still not sure I owe this amount, but cannot get a straight answer or copy of a bill from anyone. This whole ordeal is ludicrous! Verizon has the worst business practices of any business I have ever dealt with. If you want to get paid for services you need to make available the bills and personnel to ensure this happens!
