I recently went to another carrier to get a price for a new service, they quoted me a very good pfor 2 phones. I then went to the Verizon store and told the salesman what i had done an what the price was. He got on the phone to Verizon customer service an talked to a person an they agreed to match the price.I call Verizon to verify everything an they told me they can't match it . So they are basically reneging on there word . Ibeen with them for over 20years an i can't afford there rates. The person at the store was great he even tried to get through to them but was denied. So i guess im leaving Verizon for a different carrier that i can afford them anymore

I can understand being on a budget; that's why I'm a prepaid customer. If you aren't currently under a contract, converting your account to prepaid is an option to save money. If you are otherwise happy with your Verizon service except for the cost, might be better to stick around but get a cheaper plan. Unless you did a trial of the other company's service, you don't really know how they perform in your neighborhood. This was my experience when I jumped ship briefly for what I thought would be a better option elsewhere, but ended up being an enormous letdown which had me coming back in a matter of days.

The one disadvantage to prepaid is you get deprioritized on the network to postpaid customers because postpaid folks are paying more, but such is how many things are in life.
