I purchased 1 TB wifi with Verizon, partially to receive the $400 Samsung device credit at Best Buy. I ordered a TV and when it arrived the size was not appropriate. Within the 15 day Best Buy return period, I have been trying to exchange the TV but I am not getting the $400 credit back. I have spent hours and hours with different departments of Verizon to see how this can be rectified, however there is nothing they are able to do. Whenever I have an issue with Verizon, whether it be my cell service, business or personal residence accounts, it takes hours and hours to accomplish anything and typically nothing accomplished. I have been a Verizon customer for years, and the fact that they are not able to do anything about this is issue is enough for me to discontinue my relationship with Verizon. It is simply not worth my time anymore to work through issues with Verizon, particularly when they won't make a simple situation right for a customer.
I looked at other forums and found this response from Verizon: "Im sorry to hear that you are having issues with redemption codes we have a dedicated team that will be able to help, they can be reached at (866) 818 9259 Monday-Friday 8am-9 pm CST / Sat 8:00 am-8 pm CST". Well I called that number, sat on hold for over 45 minutes before reaching someone, who was unable to do anything whatsoever and frankly was very rude. She then transferred for me to "customer service" where I sat on hold of over 2 hours. I am now on hold again for an hour counting.
I feel bad for other customers who deal with the same mistreatment from Verizon. I will personally be cancelling all of my Verizon services as a result of all of this.
