This is about a bill of $84.
I ported my number to another carrier in Feb 2025, received my last bill in March, since then i tried to pay online and through phone but none of them works -- app does not allow me to log in, web says number inactive, etc.. I even went to physical stores multiple times, finally able to pay it on June 19th, 2025, only to find that Verizon reported to collection with a "Status: Payment after charge off".
There are 2 arguments i want to make:
1. This is totally unfair, because i always had goodwill to pay it, its verizon's fault that it cannot take my payments! In the bill it says I can pay in app, web, phone or physical stores. But none of them works except physical stores(takes multiple visits because some stores do not know to pay it).
2. I paid the bill on June 19th, and i ported it out in Feb with the bill comes in March, so it is only about 3 months. i was busy working and on trips, thus did not have time to go to physical store, but that is the only way to pay it after number is ported.
this decreases my score more than 70 points (from 800+ to 700+), i wonder if there are anyway to let verizon delete the collection record as i will be in the process of mortgage.
