I have just had one of the WORST experiences with costumer service in my life. I have had the worst time with Verizon over the past month trying to get this issue resolved.
I ordered a gizmo watch. I was not going to arrive in time and there was no pending arrival date. I called customer service after being on the line with them for a very long time. The told me that I could pick up a new phone at a store and that all the original fees and charges would be taken care of. This was not true. I picked up the watch. Sometime later I received the original watch in the mail. When I received my bill I had charges for 2 watches. I returned the watch sent in the mail to a corporate store. Again, I was assured that all fees and charges would be removed and to check my bill in a couple of days. When they were not changed within a week. I called customer service again, only to be told that I was negotiating the return of my money for charges and service that were supposed to be cancelled a month prior. The amount to be returned should have been $73 and some change. They first came back and said we negotiated and we can give you a refund of $21. Where does this number even come from? then after another 30-40min and the phone they said they can give me ~ $42 return. Again, all charges should be removed! Then they told me I had to return to the store to get the charges refunded. This makes no sense. I refused to hang up until they helped me. They ended up putting me on hold for over an hour and then the call was disconnected because customer service hours were over. Very convenient. I have been with Verizon for over 19 years, have multiple lines, and this is the service that I get. I am seriously considering changing companies because of this issue! I can't believe that I was supposed to "negotiate" a return. On top of it, the costumer service representative was very condescending and talking to me like a child and would not give me to a manager. I am very dissappointed and now I still have to deal to trying to get my full refund.
