Hello,
I'm writing to report a persistent issue with high latency spikes (jitter) that is severely impacting my online gaming experience. I am a Fios customer in the New Brunswick, NJ area. I currently have a 1 Gbps plan.
I did several runs of PingPlotter test to diagnose the source of the lag, and I've attached the screenshot for one of the runs for reference.
Test Configuration: Target is set to a google server ip, UDP packets, 1-second interval, packet size: 56 bytes
The connection is stable at Hop 1 (My verizon CR1000A router) with consistent latency under 1ms, confirming my local network is not the issue.
The problem begins immediately upon entering the Verizon network at Hop 2: lo0-100.NWRKNJ-VFTTP-354.verizon-gni.net (74.102.79.1). At this specific node, my connection experiences frequent and sharp latency spikes of up to 50-60 ms. This high jitter is the direct cause of the in-game lag.
Since these issues are occurring on Verizon's infrastructure, I cannot resolve them from my end. Could you please help me with this ? Could a network technician please investigate the performance of the node at lo0-100.NWRKNJ-VFTTP-354.verizon-gni.net for potential congestion or a hardware fault?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
