I want to leave verizons phone line can I still keep my home internet ? What steps do I need to take . phone is paid off most likely will move my number to a prepaid line ( if acceptable )
Are you wanting to convert your Verizon mobile line to prepaid, or port it to a different carrier?
If you switch to Verizon Prepaid, you'll most likely lose your Mobile + Home discount because that's a postpaid thing, so would have to pay whatever the full price is for the home internet. Also, prepaid lines are a different part of the company, so will require you to create a new My Verizon login for the mobile line.
If you don't have a User ID associated with your current Verizon account, I'd make sure to create one so you can still login to My Verizon for the home internet service (only) later.

Sorry i meant another phone company I just want to keep the wifi and drop the phone
As far as I know, My Verizon is the one-stop place for anything to do with Verizon services, so if you port your phone number to someone else, you can still keep the home internet service. However, if you currently login to My Verizon using your phone number, you will have to make sure you have a working User ID which is able to login to the same account before you port out, so you can continue to view your account details for the internet service. Otherwise, you may be locked out of My Verizon and won't be able to manage the internet stuff. The pricing of the home internet will go up to whatever the full rate is after you port your number, since you won't be eligible for Mobile + Home discount anymore.
