Subject: Wrongful Billing & Collections – Order #9247188 / Account #0774XXXXXXXX0001
Hello, I need help resolving an ongoing billing and collections issue.
In July 2024, I signed up for a Verizon Wireless family plan through chat (Order #9247188). Verizon shipped the wrong iPhone models. When I contacted customer care, I was told to refuse delivery, which I did. I never received the devices or activated service.
Verizon kept the taxes I paid, which I later recovered through a credit card dispute. Afterward, Verizon customer service told me they could not find any active account for me.
Despite that, I began receiving monthly bills under Account #0774XXXXXXXX0001. After six months, I was contacted by Diversified Adjustment Service, Inc. (a collection agency). I disputed the debt, and they said they would contact Verizon. Later, I started receiving notices from another collection agency, McCarthy, Burgess & Wolff, Inc. Most recently, I even received another collection notice directly from Verizon.
I have never had service, never received devices, and Verizon previously confirmed that no account exists for me. Yet bills and collection notices continue, which is very concerning.
Can someone from Verizon please review this account, confirm it should not exist, and ensure all billing and collections are stopped? I also need confirmation that no negative credit reporting remains tied to this.
