What a terrible way to start my experience with this company. I switched from T-Mobile, signing up for a mobile line and 5g premium internet. A huge reason I chose to bundle with them instead of another carrier was because of the rebates they offered as incentive to switch. They offered me a $200 amazon gift card AS WELL AS a $200 credit on my Verizon account. It states this clearly on my receipt. I got an email confirming my amazon gift card and nothing regarding the Verizon credit. I called and spoke with a representative who told me I had a choice between one or the other, and that I did not get both. I asked her to look at my receipt I was emailed, and she told me I would have to drive to the nearest Verizon store to show it to them in person. I escalated it to the next level of support who assured me I would be getting both and to wait for an email about the credit. I waited a few days and called again, went through 2 representatives who both told me I was offered one or the other and would not be getting both, and finally made it through to a representative who could actually be bothered to look up my receipt. She finally approved both rebates for my account. I have received my Verizon credit and am waiting for the promo code for my amazon gift card, although I bet I'll have to call again if I want it. I looked at these online forums and found that people have been having issues with this for the past 5 years. Verizon purposely advertises a rebate offer to get people to switch to their company, and then does everything within their power to prevent you from actually receiving it- including flat out lying and saying the rebate never existed in the first place. You have to call them repeatedly and escalate your issue to the highest level of support. This seems very illegal and makes me question if I switched to the wrong company.
