Today between myself and office staff we were with On line Chat from 10: 30 am until about 3:45 pm as well as on the phone with customer support for 48 minutes. Counting all the interactions, phone calls and on line chats with Verizon customer support, I basically wasted about 12+ hours of my life! I have been with Verizon since 2003 or so. I added another line August 21st with a pre purchased phone. Finally after roughly 8 hours (separate days of course), finally got the phone activated for an additional work phone. The only compensation for the aggravation was $25 credit
Then today the phone was cut off and deactivated.... it is a long story which makes no sense to anyone with sense. However, it seems the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I thought the chats were archived into the account but probably not or no one looks at anything nor communicates with anyone else who works there. I know the technical support is outsourced to India but it seems that the different techs are on opposite ends of the country as well. After speaking with 4 different people (we had to tell the same exact story to each person)I was to be transferred yet again to someone else (who would likely answer "I can surely help you"). I am going to be changing companies which am sure they do not care and more than likely I will have similar issues with any other cell provider. At this point I am willing to take the chance .
perhaps verizon should look into employing people within the US but that would only cut into the bottom dollar I am sure.
Absolutely ridiculous to have to spent that amount of time to get a phone activated and then more time for no one to understand and point fingers at other things.
