How can I get 1gig WiFi speed?

I’ve seen that Verizon offers speeds of up to 1gig download speed well how do I get these speeds?! The service I have now is supposed to be the top plan yet my service drops every 5minutes. I’ve been dealing with this since starting service with them a year ago. I am beyond frustrated and I’m at the point where I’m considering leaving Verizon all together.
